Brain Tap

BrainTap Audio Sessions

Each BrainTap audio session leads you through comprehensive brainwave training using light, sound, and vibration. The technology embedded in the audios and the headset is founded on a scientific principle called frequency following response. This principle describes the brain's innate inclination to synchronize with external rhythms and frequencies. By emitting specific frequencies that correspond to brainwave frequencies, the headset encourages the brain to naturally synchronize and produce those brainwaves.

Let's say the headset's lights and tones are emitting a frequency within the range of 7.5–12.5 Hz, which corresponds to the alpha brainwave frequency. When this happens, the brain naturally synchronizes with it. The alpha brainwave state is linked to light meditation and creativity. Have you ever pondered why the sound of ocean waves is so soothing? It's because the rhythmic motion of waves hitting the shore resonates at the same frequency as alpha waves. This synchronization induces feelings of calm and relaxation. Our brains follow this frequency, leading us to relax. When in the alpha state, our perception of time becomes distorted, which is why we often experience a sense of time slowing down when we're at the beach.

Now, let's shift gears and head to New York City, right in the heart of Times Square. Horns blaring, lights flashing everywhere, and throngs of people.

In this bustling and chaotic environment, your brain is bombarded with frequencies that match the beta range (12.5-40 Hz), associated with focus and attention. However, an excess of beta waves, such as what you'd experience in Times Square, leads to heightened adrenaline, anxiety, an inability to relax, and increased stress.

BrainTap Headset

The BrainTap headset utilizes pulsed tones and gentle light pulses to mimic both the lower frequency of alpha, as we've discussed, and the deeply meditative state of theta (3 to 7.5 Hz). In today's fast-paced world, most people's brains produce minimal amounts of these two brainwaves due to the constant intensity of our environment and lifestyle choices that offer little downtime. By reintroducing these crucial brainwaves, we can guide the brain back into a harmonized balance of brainwave activity. This state, known as full-spectrum brainwave activity, represents optimal brain performance.

Auriculotherapy

The headset also harnesses the principles of auriculotherapy, a science that involves stimulating trigger points in the ears, known as meridians, to directly influence the body's organs and systems. Traditionally, acupuncture needles are used to activate these points. However, for those who are uncomfortable with needles, light frequencies can achieve the same effect. The BrainTap earphones feature 9 LED lights set at the optimal frequency to induce feelings of serenity and balance.

What's remarkable about the BrainTap audios and headset is that the experience is quick—typically around 20 minutes—and entirely passive. In fact, it's not uncommon to feel as though you've drifted off to sleep, particularly during deep theta training. But rest assured, this is perfectly normal.
